The history of HGH
In 1920 growth hormone was first observed, it wasnt until
the 1950s however, that its many benefits were discovered.
Children who had growth deficiencies were administered HGH by researchers,
who discovered that it promoted a normal pattern of development.
The discovery was naturally amazing, but the negative side was
acquiring a supply. The pituitary gland of human cadavers was the
only source for the hormone to be extracted. Only a few drops were
obtained from each gland, so to produce enough for a single injection
was very expensive and time consuming.
A biotech company, Genetech, changed all this in 1985. Earlier
they had cloned the human gene for insulin; they also succeeded
in bringing to market a genetically engineered growth hormone. Eli
Lilly, a short while later in 1987 did the same.
This breakthrough coincided with a huge amount of research being
done in the anti ageing area. After thirty years experience with
adults and children deficient in growth hormone, no side effects
had been experienced, therefore researchers began to give HGH to
healthy adults. In countless studies participants were
recording a loss of body fat, a gain in lean muscle mass, increased
energy levels, improved strength and stamina, thickening and re-growing
hair, wrinkle reduction, regularised blood pressure, improved cholesterol
profile, increased libido and enhanced sexual function.
The benefits go on and on. Unfortunately, even with the availability
of genetically engineered growth hormone for most people the cost
was still prohibitive. As the injections cost $15,000 to $30,000
only the wealthy would find it affordable.
However, in 1998 another amazing breakthrough occurred; an oral
form of growth hormone was created by researchers. Decades after
being an expensive little-known drug, it was formulated into a food
supplement, still possessing all the many benefits produced by the
injections. This means that the ultimate weapon against anti-ageing
is now available in the form of a safe, homeopathic oral alternative,
priced to be available to almost everyone.
